Our Story
History of the Wynwood Walls
Founded in 1968 by visionary developer and preservationist Tony Goldman, who was an entrepreneur, restaurateur, hotelier, and patron of the arts, a true pioneer in historic preservation. He saw potential where others saw decline and community where others saw only square footage.
Between 2005 and 2010, Goldman Properties, led by Tony Goldman, acquired properties in Wynwood, an industrial district in Miami that was once the third-largest garment hub in the U.S. The neighborhood was in decline and had deserted streets and warehouses turned into graffiti art spaces. Tony Goldman saw the future: a neighborhood where art, culture, and hospitality could intersect and serve as the center for the budding class of creative entrepreneurs. Under his vision, the team oversaw a master plan to create an artistically driven, tasteful, and design-inspired pedestrian community, and in 2009, the Wynwood Walls was born.

Goldman Global Arts
Goldman Global Arts is a Miami-based creative collective founded by Jessica Goldman Srebnick and is the curating arm of Goldman Properties. Goldman Global Arts (GGA) has elevated the platform of street art and public art as an instrument of change by infusing art and creativity into life in unexpected ways.
By challenging what is known and inspiring curiosity using a language that connects both people and art, Goldman Global Arts take on projects that will continue to shift the paradigm of how people interact with and perceive the spaces that surround them.
