This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies when you register for, reserve, or use complimentary admission through the Locals Free program.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND WHY
Wynwood Walls, LLC and our affiliates (“Wynwood Walls”, “Company” or “we” or “us” or “our”) collect your name, residential address, birth year, email address, mobile number if provided, eligibility and verification information, a coded identifier used to prevent duplicate registrations, registration and reservation details, and admission history. A parent or legal guardian may also provide children’s first names and birth years. We use this information to determine and verify eligibility, administer registrations and reservations, send operational communications, prevent duplicate or fraudulent registrations, maintain program records, evaluate and improve Locals Free, and comply with legal obligations.
Online and kiosk registration use a photograph of the front of your ID to verify eligibility. The image is sent through OpenRouter to a Google AI model to read the printed information. Depending on the document, the system reads your name, address, city, ZIP code, birth date, expiration date, and Florida-ID status. The image also shows your photograph and other printed details. The license or ID number is processed to create a coded identifier for duplicate prevention. Your member record keeps the name, address, and birth year you confirm, rather than the full birth date or license or ID number. We do not request selfies, compare faces, or create biometric templates.
Accepted documents are an unexpired Florida driver license or state ID showing a Miami-Dade County address, or a current student ID from the University of Miami, Florida International University, or Miami Dade College. Adult registrants must be eighteen (18) or older. We may ask you to present acceptable proof of eligibility at admission.
Scanning the barcode on a Florida license or state ID is optional. If you choose that method, we collect the encoded information described above to verify eligibility, administer your registration, and prevent duplicates, and retain the member-record information described in this notice. If you do not want your ID photographed or scanned, you may register at the Welcome Center, where staff enter your information manually and issue your pass after confirming eligibility. We will not deny services solely because you request manual collection. The same eligibility and admission requirements apply.
REGISTRATION AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
BASG Corp. (“BASG”) operates the Locals Free registration system for Wynwood Walls, separately from Xola ticketing. Authorized Wynwood Walls staff and BASG personnel can access member information as needed for admission, program administration, and technical support. OpenRouter and Google process ID images for automated reading. ID-reading requests use OpenRouter’s Zero Data Retention routing, which restricts requests to endpoints identified by OpenRouter as having zero-retention policies. This routing setting is separate from the registration system’s image handling described under Retention. No information from your ID is sent to Xola.
We disclose program information to service providers as needed to operate the program, subject to applicable contractual and legal restrictions. These include Mailgun for emails, sent.dm for texts to members who opt in, and Cloudflare for website delivery and security. If you choose to add your pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, the wallet provider processes pass information under its own terms and privacy notice. Adding a wallet pass is optional.
MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS AND OPT-OUT CHOICES
By providing an email address and/or telephone number and submitting a Locals Free registration through a process that presents this marketing disclosure, you consent to receive marketing emails at the email address provided and/or live, nonautomated marketing calls at the telephone number provided, as applicable, from Wynwood Walls concerning local programming, events, exhibitions, offers, and related news, except where applicable law requires a different consent process. We may use a ZIP code you supply for marketing to tailor those communications. We do not use ID images, information read from an ID, or the coded duplicate-prevention identifier for marketing or advertising.
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time through the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. You may opt out of marketing calls by asking us during any call or contacting us at info@thewynwoodwalls.com or (305) 576-3334. Opting out will not affect Locals Free eligibility, reservations, admission, or nonmarketing communications needed to administer the program.
Separately, subject to applicable law, Cookie Settings, your privacy choices, and our agreements with applicable service providers, we may use a ZIP code supplied for marketing and program engagement to create audience segments and measure or deliver advertising, including retargeted advertising. A choice to receive email or text marketing is not consent to nonessential cookies or targeted advertising. We will not use ID images, information read from an ID, the coded duplicate-prevention identifier, children’s information, or mobile information for those purposes. You may manage covered uses through Your Privacy Choices.
The Locals Free registration site does not use Google Analytics, Google advertising tags, tracking cookies, or Cloudflare Web Analytics. Google’s involvement in ID reading and optional wallet passes is described above. Different technologies operate on the main Wynwood Walls website, as described in our Cookie Policy.
Text Messages and Automated or Prerecorded Calls.
Providing a telephone number, submitting a Locals Free registration, making a reservation, obtaining admission, verifying residency, or requesting assistance does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive marketing text messages or marketing calls using an automated system, artificial or prerecorded voice, or prerecorded voicemail. Wynwood Walls will send those communications only if you separately provide prior express written consent through a designated sign-up process. That consent may be provided through a clearly labeled sign-up button or another affirmative action that identifies the telephone number and the communications you authorize.
If you separately provide the required consent, you authorize Wynwood Walls and service providers acting on its behalf to deliver or cause to be delivered to the telephone number identified in your consent recurring marketing text messages and, if expressly included in the consent, automated or prerecorded marketing calls concerning local programming, events, exhibitions, offers, and related news. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any property, goods, or services, obtaining admission, or participating in Locals Free. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel text messages or HELP for assistance. You may revoke consent to automated or prerecorded calls by asking us during any call or contacting us at info@thewynwoodwalls.com or (305) 576-3334.
No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. For purposes of this restriction, mobile information includes mobile telephone numbers, text-message opt-in data, and consent records.
We may disclose mobile information to service providers that support our communications, but they may use it only to provide services to us. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
RETENTION
Member records are kept until you delete your account or request deletion, subject to applicable law. Account deletion erases your name and contact details from the active record; it does not necessarily erase every associated verification, duplicate-prevention, consent, or admission record. Any continued retention remains subject to applicable deletion rights and is limited to what is reasonably necessary to administer the program, prevent fraud, address disputes, honor privacy choices, and meet legal obligations. Registration-system backups roll off after fourteen (14) days.
In normal operation, the registration system uses the ID image to read the document and then discards it. If diagnostic mode is enabled for troubleshooting, it can temporarily save ID images or related verification data; that data is deleted when diagnostic mode is turned off. This describes the registration system’s handling and does not extend its deletion schedule to separate provider systems. You may request deletion through the methods described in our Privacy Policy and Your Privacy Choices.
CHILDREN
A parent or legal guardian must submit any registration for an eligible minor and accept the applicable program terms on the minor’s behalf. The registering parent or legal guardian supplies the child’s first name and birth year; a child’s ID is not required. Children under thirteen (13) should not submit the registration form themselves. If personal information is collected online from a child under thirteen (13), we will obtain any verifiable parental consent required by law. We do not knowingly use personal information that relates to a minor for targeted advertising.
YOUR RIGHTS AND ADDITIONAL TERMS
